On June 1, Unearth and many others (the lineup, excluding local support, is featured in the tour poster above) rocked the house at the Altar Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. I had never seen any of the bands until the other night, but I am a big fan of each now. Arcane Haven and Camp Element were both local bands from Pittsburgh that came out strong and heavy, and I was very impressed with each.
As for the rest, I was blown away by every band’s songs. Any metal head or enthusiast would have went absolutely nuts at this concert. The venue had great back lighting as well as a balcony. The guys in Unearth proved that they still have it in them – 13 years after releasing their first album in 2001. For this specific tour, it was the 10th anniversary of The Oncoming Storm, so Unearth only played one or two songs from other albums before ending the set with The Oncoming Storm in its entirety.
Check out some pictures from each band’s set below! (Note: if you’re interested in obtaining any of the pictures, contact me @ [email protected].)
